Lightning Automotive (ECL Auto) is designed to meet these needs.
It's ability to read and create documents in the AIAG EDI, EDIFACT, and
XML standards allows you to efficiently trade with all of your
customers. Since it uses the same customized Lightning
Processes as the original EC Lightning product
line,
it will meet all of your labeling, communications and integration
requirements, allowing you to precisely meet all of your customers'
production schedules.
EC Lightning Automotive (ECL Auto) was designed using
the same core technologies as the original EC Lightning
product line. As an automotive supplier you need to be able to receive
and process your customers' schedules and forecasts. You need to
integrate these transactions into your own production systems. It may
also be necessary for you to be able to create and send your own
schedules and forecasts to your suppliers, as well. This is critical in
ensuring your product arrives on your customers' production line precisely
as scheduled. ECL Auto will work with AIAG
EDI, EDIFACT, and XML standards to help you meet the requirements for
all of your customers, domestic and foreign.
ECL Auto will integrate with all of the
other EC Lightning products allowing it the same labeling, UPC, communications, factoring,
and other capabilities available to all of the other ECL
products. The customized Lightning
Processes are designed specifically to be used with ECL Auto
providing capabilities unique to the automotive and marine engine
industries. ECL Auto can also use
all of the normal ECL Processes available to EC Lightning
allowing maximum flexibility.
Also known as Lightning Processes, these are the building blocks that customize your
ECL Auto system. These processes are designed to read and
write your schedules and forecasts in AIAG EDI, EDIFACT, and XML
standards. They are designed to communicate with your customers' VANS or
directly through ftp or AS2 protocols. They can integrate directly with
your systems and print customized reports, based on your needs.
