EC Lightning BasicThis is the core program of the EC Lightning (ECL) line of solutions. This is the data center. All of your company information resides here as well as that of your factor and retailers. EC Lightning supports multiple dba's each with multiple retailers. All of your retailers' store address databases are stored here. EC Lightning stores and processes your incoming transactions into outgoing transactions. All the data that comes in on your orders is stored here, compared with your existing data and made available for other applications to use, such as your accounting and manufacturing programs. This data is also used for creating shipping labels and EDI ship notices and invoices. EC Lightning is run using ECL Processes. These are the customized processes that make EC Lightning your application. There is a process for each transaction required by each retailer. There are communications processes that retrieve your data and send it automatically to multiple mailboxes. Processes come with their own unique forms and are generally customized for the customer based on the questionnaire answers. EC Lightning includes several processes included in the basic package. There is a single mailbox communications process; one incoming transaction for any trading partner; and one outgoing transaction for any trading partner. Because these modules are customized you need to pre-order the software, filling out the applicable questionnaires. Software usually ships within 30 days due to the customizing process. EC Lightning ExtraEC Lightning Extra is the basic version of the program with the label printing engine, Label Lightning, included. Label Lightning has a carton or pallet label printing process available for every retailer and product requirement. It is necessary to have this version to install the processes and print integrated labels. EC Lightning Extra also comes with UPC Lightning included. This allows you to manage your UPC catalog and it contains all of your UPC cross reference information. This allows all of your orders and invoices to contain both SKU's and UPC's whether or not they came in on the order. There are EDI 832 processes available for all the different catalog services as well.
EC Lightning FactorEC Lightning Factor contains everything in the EXTRA version plus Factor Lightning included. Factor Lightning has the ability to connect any outgoing invoice to any factor through the use of factor processes for both EDI and non-EDI formats. This cuts the cost of doing business with your factor. This also works to improve your cash flow by streamlining your invoicing process. Factor Lightning integrates with your retailer invoicing and eliminates the need for paper invoicing.
