ECL Processes
Also known as Lightning Processes, these are available for
every application in the EC Lightning product line. Processes are the brains of
your EC Lightning application and
define all of your individual requirements. They are what tell the application
where to get the data from, how to process the data, and where to send it.
Processes are customized for your particular needs.
There are many types of processes available. Below are a list of the process
types and what they do:
Communication Processes :
These processes go to your VAN mailbox and retrieve and deliver your
documents for you. There are single or multiple mailbox processes available.
Retailer Transaction Processes
: These are the processes that define the transactions coming in from the
individual retailers. There are processes for purchase orders, invoices,
ship notices, and virtually every EDI transaction required by your retailer.
These processes are linkable. For example you can link a purchase order to
an invoice and ASN, which creates a turnaround. Some specially packaged processes come
with all transactions for a single retailer.
Retailer Label Processes
: These are the processes that create you UCC-128 carton labels for
each retailer.
Factor Processes : Special
Factor processes are available for Factor
Lightning.
Integration Processes : These
are the processes that automatically put your EDI data into your accounting
and manufacturing systems.
Custom Processes
: There are many custom reporting, document and integration processes
available.
