EC Lightning 3PLEC Lightning 3PL is the core solution to help you meet your varied 3PL challenges. It has the ability to handle the traditional 3PL inventory management role, your direct-to-retail fulfillment EDI role, your shipping, labeling, and reporting needs, as well as integration with your warehouse systems. In holding and maintaining inventory for your customer, you are often times required to use EDI technology to update your customer on your inventory levels. ECL 3PL supports use of the 810, 820, 846, 850, 856, 864, 888, 916, 940, 943, 944, 947, 997, and all other transaction sets for fulfillment and warehouse management purposes. ECL 3PL uses the 888 to define all of the characteristics of your customers product. It will create a 944 warehouse receipt advice from the 856 or 943 sent by your customer, at the time of receipt of goods. It will create a 945 shipment advice for your customer when the 940 has been fulfilled and shipped. It also integrates UCC-128 shipping labels, BOL's, ship manifests, and any other required reports at the time shipment with your 945 transaction. All of this is integrated with inventory management, automatically updating inventory levels based on receipts and shipments. Inventory management also includes the ability to create and send the 846 Inventory Advice and the 947 Warehouse Inventory Adjustment Advice to your customer. Some 3PL customers require you to interact directly with their retailers in your fulfillment roles. In this case you will be conducting EDI business and shipping for your customers as if you were them. You will need to receive copies of their EDI 850 Purchase Orders from them and send 810 Invoices and 856 Advanced Ship Notices to their retailers. You will also be required to print labels and BOL's reflecting your packing and shipping. ECL 3PL was built using the original core technologies of EC Lightning allowing you to fulfill all of the traditional EDI roles as well as your specific 3PL requirements. Although ECL 3PL was built with the power of the original ECL it has a set of it's own 3PL ECL Processes it can use as well as all of the rest of the processes available for ECL allowing you to fulfill any of the myriad roles required as a bustling 3PL operation.
