A 3PL faces some very unique challenges and

ship, label, and conduct EDI fulfillment directly with their customer's
retailers. This can include traditional VAN EDI connectivity, business
to business (B2B) direct connectivity, online shopping cart
connectivity, drop ship, and virtually every retail business model out
there. In some cases the 3PL will connect via EDI directly to their
customer and will use the traditional 3PL model.

fulfillment models.
Since the 3PL does the shipping, they are also
